Art should feel this good.
Original abstract paintings, made in Evanston.
Hi, I’m Laurie.
After many years in fashion and design, I’m finally doing what I love: painting. It was my husband who encouraged me to do something fulfilling. What that meant didn’t come easily. It took a vision boarding exercise with a life coach to clarify that making art was my calling.
I’ve been at it almost every day since 2019. Now my paintings are collected around the country, shown in galleries, and permanently installed at The Lydian in Chicago, where 34 of them fill the building.
Thinking about a commission or a design project? Work with me.
“I honestly loved reading your email newsletter more than pretty much anything that’s landed in my inbox lately… It was wonderful to hear the story behind the LA, relating it to how kids sign their art. We’ve all lived this and it’s so universally relatable.”
Won't you join the fun?
At the end of every month, a letter from my studio lands in your inbox with a clue hidden inside. Find it and you could win a little painting.
Mustard yellow blocks across the top, a single red dot, and soft lavender and pink running down the left side. Pale blue shapes, small drawn marks and a tall pink LA in the upper right keep your eye moving across a canvas big enough to anchor a room.
